Singapore and Kuala Lumpur to Lombok: Direct Flights, Flight Times and Weekends in Sekotong

Singapore and Kuala Lumpur both have direct flights to Lombok. From Singapore, Scoot takes about 2 hours 50 minutes and increased from four to ten flights a week in June 2026. From Kuala Lumpur, AirAsia, Batik Air and Lion Air fly the route in about three hours. Neither city has a time difference with Lombok, so leaving on a Friday afternoon gets you to the island the same evening.

For this guide we read a report from Indonesia’s state broadcaster RRI, Scoot’s official site, flight data sites (aviability, avionio, airconnect) and the time zone site timeanddate on 1 November 2026, set out flight times, durations and frequencies, and added how to fit them together with the drive from the airport to Sekotong. Flight times are examples for particular dates and change by weekday and season.

This guide is for people living in Singapore or Malaysia who are thinking of a weekend or long weekend on Lombok, and travellers stopping in Lombok on a wider trip around Southeast Asia.

Which foreign cities have direct flights to Lombok?

The only foreign cities with direct flights to Lombok International Airport are Kuala Lumpur (AirAsia, Batik Air, Lion Air) and Singapore (Scoot); there are no long-haul direct flights. RRI (10 June 2026) quoted the provincial governor as saying that the extra Scoot flights took Lombok’s international flights from 14 to 20 a week, and that routes to Darwin and Perth in Australia are awaiting approval.

How to reach Lombok from elsewhere is covered in Getting to Lombok, and booking flights in our Lombok flights guide.

From Singapore: Scoot timings and frequency

Scoot’s Singapore to Lombok route went from four to ten flights a week in June 2026 (RRI). On the flight data site aviability, TR258 on Saturday 24 October 2026 was scheduled to leave Singapore at 14:00 and reach Lombok at 16:50, a flight of 2 hours 50 minutes. The return TR259 the same day was scheduled to leave Lombok at 17:25 and reach Singapore at 20:25; it is also a Singapore Airlines codeshare (SQ8481). The same site lists the next flight on both numbers as 31 March 2027, and we could not confirm flight numbers or times for November to March, so check Scoot’s timetable before booking.

Scoot’s official site says Singapore departures leave from Changi Airport Terminal 1, with check-in counters opening three hours before departure and closing 60 minutes before. Economy fares include 10 kg of cabin baggage, and checked baggage costs less if you buy it in advance than at the airport.

According to the flight data site avionio, AirAsia’s AK304 leaves Kuala Lumpur at 7:45 and reaches Lombok at 11:00, with a 15:00 departure arriving at 18:15 on some dates. It flew on most days of October 2026. Batik Air’s ID7268 was scheduled to leave Lombok at 13:15 on 1 November and reach Kuala Lumpur at 16:20, a flight of 3 hours 5 minutes (aviability).

The flight search site airconnect lists AirAsia, Lion Air and Batik Air Malaysia on this route, with a distance of about 2,060 km and an estimated flight time of about 3 hours 5 minutes. We could not confirm the number of weekly flights on the Kuala Lumpur route from the sources we read.

Time zones, and check-in times at the airport

Lombok is on Central Indonesian Time (WITA), UTC+8, the same offset as Singapore and Malaysia (timeanddate). With no time difference, you can compare timetables directly.

On the day you fly out of Lombok internationally, following Lion Air Group’s guidance, arrive at the airport four hours before departure. Sekotong is about 1 hour 10 minutes by car, so leave your accommodation about 5 hours 10 minutes before departure, and 30 minutes to an hour earlier in the rainy season or heavy traffic. The departure process is in our Lombok airport departure guide, and entry rules in Lombok Travel Essentials.

From the airport to Sekotong: arriving in the evening

Sekotong is about 1 hour 10 minutes by car from Lombok International Airport. If you land at 16:50 on the afternoon Scoot flight (the 24 October example), by the time you clear immigration and drive across, you reach Sekotong after dark. To keep driving in the dark to a minimum, book a transfer in advance.

Planning a two-night weekend or a longer break

An example two-night weekend: leave Singapore on Friday afternoon and reach Sekotong that night, spend Saturday island hopping, then leave the guesthouse before noon on Sunday for an evening flight. On the last day you leave in time to reach the airport four hours before departure, so you get about a day and a half on the island.

With a break of three nights or more, you can separate island-hopping days from beach days, and swap them if rain or wind keeps the boats in. How many nights to spend in Sekotong is covered in How many nights in Sekotong?.

A note from Sekotong

Sekotong is about 1 hour 10 minutes by car from the airport, one of the stretches of coast closest to the airport on Lombok. The beach cafe SAKURA CAFE is open 10:00 to 22:00 (closed Mondays), so after an evening arrival you can be by the sea the next morning.

Downsides, and who a direct-flight trip suits

First the downsides. Scoot’s ten weekly flights and the Kuala Lumpur flights do not necessarily run every day at the same time. We could not confirm the days of operation, so check each airline’s timetable before you book. On a two-night weekend, the afternoon of the last day goes on getting to the airport. On an evening arrival, you reach Sekotong at night.

With no time difference and about three hours in the air, Lombok suits people living in Singapore or Malaysia who want a weekend or long weekend in a seaside village. The Semelar Beach Village stay programme runs from 3 nights/4 days to 5 nights/6 days at Rp4,800,000 per person, including airport transfers, local transport, a guide, a welcome dinner and a massage; flights and accommodation are separate. Starting at 3 nights/4 days, it fits a four-day long weekend. Where you can stay is on our Stay page and the route from the airport on Getting Here.
