About the village

Semelar Beach Village is a village-building project in a fishing village in Sekotong, southwest Lombok, Indonesia. Together with the Sasak people who were born and raised in Sekotong, we are making a seaside village where people can stay, come back, and keep a connection.

On the beach today are SAKURA CAFE, SEMELAR MARKET, LOCAL FOOD STREET and SAKURA BEACH CLUB, and private villas are under construction. The village is run by PT Lombok Next Partner; the founder is Hiroki Nakamura.

Location: Semelar Beach, Sekotong, West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia
Getting here: About 1 hr 10 min by car from Lombok International Airport; about 40 min by car from Lembar Port
Villas: Thirteen private villas under construction. The first is planned for completion in early 2027 (plan as of August 2026); all thirteen are planned to open in stages in 2027–2028. Room rates have not been published
Stay programme: What can be booked now: 3 nights/4 days to 5 nights/6 days, Rp4,800,000 per person (about US$270 at US$1 ≈ Rp17,800, September 2026). Includes airport transfers, transport, guide, welcome dinner and a massage; flights and accommodation are separate
Opening hours: SAKURA CAFE and SEMELAR MARKET 10:00–22:00, LOCAL FOOD STREET 11:00–22:00, SAKURA BEACH CLUB 13:00–22:00. Closed on Mondays
Coming up: The Bamboo Restaurant is scheduled to open on 7 November 2026. Kayaking (seven kayaks) is planned to start on 7 November 2026
