Total per person per night, by number of nights
From the article: against a destination where local prices are also high, such as Hawaii, Lombok’s total is already lower by the 3-night mark in its model. Against Bali, where the flight cost gap is small, Lombok’s lower local costs tend to matter more the longer you stay, rather than flipping at one fixed point. Dates are the ones the source article or page gives. Prices change with season, exchange rates, where you stay and bargaining. US dollars are rough guides at US$1 = about Rp17,800 (September 2026).

How it is calculated
- Flights = the return fare per person x people.
- Stay = per person per night from the costs guide x people x nights. For the two Sekotong places: per room per night from Rates x rooms (two people to a room, rounded up) x nights.
- Food and transport = per person per day from the costs guide x people x nights. Days are counted as nights.
- On days with a car and driver, the price of one car for a day replaces that day’s transport guide. If your group needs two cars, double the days.
- The island trip is priced per boat. A boat seats about 4 to 8 people, so the lower figure counts one boat per 8 people and the higher figure one boat per 4. Gear hire and island entry fees can be extra.
- A paddle kayak takes 2 to 3 people (lower: 3 per kayak, higher: 2 per kayak). Pedal kayaks and the guided tour are per person.
- If no activity is chosen: activities per day from the costs guide x people x nights.
- With the stay programme: Rp4,800,000 x people is added; transport is set to 0 for the programme nights (up to 5); one massage per person is taken off; and one welcome dinner (a third of a day’s food, rounded to Rp1,000) is taken off. Flights and accommodation stay as they are.
- Luxury style and high-end hotels have no upper limit in the costs guide, so the higher figure is left open.
