The villas at a glance
Thirteen private villas set inside Sekotong’s fishing village. The first villa is due to be completed in early 2027 (plan as of August 2026), and all thirteen are due to open in stages during 2027–2028. They sit right behind the market (SEMELAR MARKET), a one-minute walk from the beach.
This isn’t an “untouched hideaway where there’s nothing”. In the morning, boats head out from the beach; at midday, oysters are opened on the pearl rafts; in the evening, there’s a seat for you at the village table. There’s more sea, more village and more to do than you might expect. But it isn’t convenient. This page tells you both, up front.

The villas stand right behind the village market (SEMELAR MARKET). Thirteen in all. The first villa is due to be completed in early 2027, and the rest open in stages through 2028. Close the door and it’s quiet; open it and the market and the beach are right there.

| Two bedrooms | — | Families, friends |
| Long stay | — | A month or more, a second base |
Facilities and services
| What we have | What we don’t |
|---|---|
| Our own staff (bookings, transfers, help during your stay) | — |
| Airport transfers arranged (we wait if your flight is late) | Nightlife, convenience stores, big supermarkets |
| Island-hopping and snorkelling around the southern Gilis, arranged for you (the boatmen are from the village) | Reliable high-speed internet (slow on some days) |
| Introductions to the village table and warungs; visits to the pearl farm and the fields | A 24-hour do-everything service. Nights are quiet |
| The bay and islands from your terrace (depends on the villa) | Things to do on a do-nothing day |
Stay programme (3 nights/4 days to 5 nights/6 days)
The stay programme is put together around the number of nights you have. Our staff make the arrangements with the boatmen, the pearl farmers, the warungs and the people in the fields. It isn’t a fixed course: once you arrive, we rework it around the weather and how you’re feeling.

- 3 nights
Just the sea.
One island-hopping trip around the southern Gilis, snorkelling, two meals at the village table, airport transfers. Good for a first visit. To be honest, with only three nights the cost of getting here weighs heavily.
- 7 nights
Get used to the village.
Two island trips, a visit to the pearl farm, a day in the fields, lunch at a warung, and one day with nothing planned. A “do-nothing day” only fits in from seven nights. This is the most common length.
- 14 nights
Live alongside the village.
Shopping at the market, a morning fishing with a boatman, a visit to a Sasak village, a trip to the southern beaches. Conversations about long stays or a second base often start at this length.
Until the villas open, we run a private 3-night/4-day (up to 5-night/6-day) programme: you stay at accommodation outside the village and explore Sekotong. It isn’t a tour for sale; it’s a stay for understanding the island in your own way. Dates are set together with you.

Plans change with arrival times, weather and local conditions. Changing dates or the number of nights, reworking the areas and activities, or planning a scouting visit (including business or long-stay enquiries): it all starts with the same enquiry.
You fly into Lombok International Airport, via Bali, Jakarta, Singapore or Kuala Lumpur. Bali to Lombok is about 50 minutes by air. From the airport it’s about 1 hr 10 min by car to Sekotong, and airport transfers are included in the programme. We’re happy to help with flights and connections. Details are on Getting here.

What we’d like you to know before booking
There’s no quick way here: you fly into Lombok, often via Bali or Jakarta, then drive about 1 hr 10 min. November to March is the rainy season, and when it rains, it really rains. There are no convenience stores and no nightlife. Wi-Fi is slow on some days. There are insects. There are power cuts.
And yet: nobody on the beach in the morning, a boatman who remembers your name, a seat at the village table in the evening. If that’s the week you’re looking for, this is the place.
When can I stay?
Is it suitable for children?
I don’t speak Indonesian. Is that a problem?
Is it worth going in the rainy season?
Can I work while I stay?
Can I stay on my own?
What about meals?
Can I drink alcohol?
Spa & wellness (planned to open in 2026)
Massages, body scrubs and facials using Lombok herbs and coconut oil, with an outdoor stone bath and a space for yoga and meditation. Scheduled to open during 2026.
